Golf has evolved from being played on glorified cow pastures to being a game now enjoyed
on what amounts to be a manicured lawn. The development of golf courses and of the
golfing public is on the rise worldwide. Just a short twelve years ago, Mexico had
only 80 true 18 hole golf courses but now boasts the existence of more than 120.
There are currently over 80 golf curses in the planning stage scattered throughout
Mexico with more being considered everyday. With the rapid growth in the number
of golf facilities in Mexico, owners are facing the challenge of how to compete
against their counterparts and run the business to make a profit in today's market.
The days of simply clearing a section of land and starting to move dirt to create
a golf course are long gone. Many golf courses are planned to be located in
beautiful but ecologically sensitive areas. The need to develop a golf course
and recreational facility that meets the needs of its patrons while minimally
impacting the natural environment has become a necessity, if not a regulatory
requirement.
In Mexico, obtaining approvals for golf course projects has become a challenging
process even though the golf course is not located in an area that is considered
culturally and environmentally sensitive. Each golf course demands a delicate
coordination between course aesthetics and playability, and the hidden aspects of
thoughtful engineering, maintenance and operation.
We recognize that golf and leisure developments are multi-faceted enterprises
with many aspects that need to be considered beyond golf design, building designs,
infrastructure and construction. Well conceived projects that are efficiently planned
must be managed from inception to operation in order to achieve their full commercial
potential. Real Estate Development Services, combined with a team of consultants,
provides developers an integrated service from design and construction up to
pre-opening, as well as, offering the operational management of the completed facility
and of the many and varied components required to guarantee a commercially successful
golf and leisure development.
